How Thriftian is paid for, and what commission never changes.
Thriftian is free to use and carries no adverts. It is paid for by affiliate commission. This page explains what that means, as US advertising rules and our affiliate networks require — and as you would expect.
How a click becomes income
Most retailer links here are affiliate links from networks such as Awin and Impact. When you follow one, the network records that you came from Thriftian. If you buy, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale out of its own margin. Your price is the same as everyone else’s.
What commission does not change
Which retailers are listed — that depends on whether they run a programme we can verify. Where an offer sits — offers are sorted by date, discount or category, never by commission rate. How an offer is worded — end dates and terms are copied from the retailer.
Links that earn nothing
Some stores have no affiliate programme. Their links are ordinary links, shown in exactly the same way.
